
GLYNCORNEL LAKE -RHONDDA VALLEYS
Glyncornel Angling Association has trout fishing in The Rhondda; restocked annually with brown and rainbow trout.

Day permits are not available.
Membership fee for the coming 2007 season £120.00 (adult) and £65.00 (junior).
Fishery record: 18lb 4oz rainbow trout
Lake is stocked with rainbow and brown trout once a month through the season.
The size of the trout range from 2½lb - 14lb.
No trout smaller than 2½lb stocked.
Monthly competitions are held on the first Saturday.
Season permit for Glyncornel lake also includes fishing at our exclusive 10 mile stretch of the River Rhondda, where brown trout are also stocked regularly.
The season permit also includes fishing at the Darran Park Lake, which is course fishing only.
Glyncornel Lake
is situated within Rhondda's only nature reserve.

Glyncornel Lake is situated at the top end of Tonypandy, approximately 7 miles from the top of the Rhondda Fawr Valley. It is about 2 to 3 acres in size and is stocked a once at the start ofthe season mostly with Rainbow trout and a few Browns are thrown in for good measure!. After stocking the lake is heavily fished on the bank near the council offices.
